The artist book marks the first English translation and publication of Albert Meister's 1976 fictional text "La soi-disant utopie du centre Beaubourg." Written under the pseudonym Gustave Affeulpin, Meister's text coincided with the opening of the Centre Beaubourg in Paris and imagined a radical libertarian space existing seventy-six stories below. Luca Frei undertook this project to revitalise a significant cultural treatise and reflect on his subjective role in transferring ideas from one cultural framework and era to another.
